Jakarta –
Rumors of a manager change have emerged at Manchester United after two consecutive defeats. Patrice Evra hints at her disagreement.
Rumors of a manager change have surrounded Manchester United. That was after the ‘Red Devils’ lost to Arsenal in the Premier League last week and humiliated Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League in the middle of the week.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s position begins to shake, with Mauricio Pochettino tied as his replacement. Pochettino has been out of work since he was fired by Tottenham Hotspur last year and recently declared that he is ready to go back to work.
But some former MU players did not respond very positively to rumors of a manager change. Earlier, Robin van Persie and Dimitar Berbatov expressed doubts that the appointment of a new manager could make MU look good and consistent right away.
Former MU defender Patrice Evra also expressed his views. He indicated that Manchester United’s problem was not only with the coach, but at the board of directors level.
“New manager …? How about a new manager?” wrote on Instagram.
MU directors are already familiar with the spotlight, especially CEO Ed Woodward. Woodward is a figure who handles all team transfers and is often seen as having failed to build the team the coach needs.
