Liverpool successfully pulled the outright victory out of the Arsenal cage. This is the Reds’ response to the poor performance of their rivals in the race for the top four.
In their visit to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday (4/4/2021), Liverpool need three points to be able to maintain the possibility of qualifying for the Champions League next season. Against Arsenal, who were often difficult, Liverpool played on the attack from the first minutes.
However, the long-awaited goal only came in the 62nd minute when Diogo Jota hit a Trent Alexander-Arnold cross. Six minutes later, Mohamed Salah doubled the lead to 2-0.
