JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Amid the controversy over the presence of the leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Rizieq Shihab, the idea of ​​holding a meeting with several other Islamic mass organizations was raised.

Vice President Ma’ruf Amin welcomed the idea of ​​meeting with the leaders of the mass organization FPI, as conveyed by the Vice President’s spokesman, Masduki Baidlowi, on Friday (11/20/2020).

“There is no problem with the idea of ​​the meeting, the vice president. The vice president is welcome, which means that it is something that can be done as long as it brings goodness to the nation and the state,” Masduki said.

Masduki also said that there were Islamic social organizations (mass organizations) that had offered to organize the meeting.

“There have been (mass organizations) that have met, but I can’t tell you more than that,” he said.

Although this meeting will raise political perceptions in the community and this will not be avoided, Masduki said this does not have to be controversial as long as it is good.
