Jakarta –
Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE) declarant General (retired) Gatot Nurmantyo was intercepted while attending a flower planting event commemorating G30S / PKI day by retired officers. We called the blocking groups only a handful of people.
“So Pak Gatot was not in the context of the United States, it was in the context of retired officers. Today, retirees of various ranks, of various generations, commemorate the grave pilgrimage of several generals who were killed by the PKI. This is the momentum, “said the Chairman of OUR Executive Committee, Ahmad Yani. when contacted, Wednesday (9/30/2020).
The flower-planting activity for the Heroes of the Revolution was organized by the Retired Guard of State Sovereignty (PPKN). Ahmad Yani stated that the event was closely watched by the South Jakarta COVID-19 Management Task Force so that flower planting was carried out in accordance with health protocols.
After planting the flowers, PPKN made a speech in which he expressed his support for Gatot and US. The statement led by Lt. Gen. (ret) Soeharto, Ahmad Yani said, was brief.
“Expressing their political stance gives them full support because they have the same mission-vision and what the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE) will build, to support the United States,” he said.
After the event, several figures immediately left the scene, including Gatot Nurmantyo. However, shortly after the reading of the support for the US, several people appeared who gave rejection speeches.
“After that, some of them went home, Mr. Gatot also returned home. After that I saw that after getting in the car, there were some Kijang cars that came like this. Maybe they gave speeches, and maybe like FKPPI and retired officers who were still there, it happened. (Chaotic) times yeah, “Yani said.
We also do not care about the obstruction made by some people to the former TNI commander. Yani also admitted that he did not know where the crowd was coming from.
“Those who came to reject him were only a handful. Only a few people, there were 3 cars, 7-10 people were on top of the car at most. Maybe 30 people,” he said.
“I don’t know, because they didn’t take long either. I left after that. Perhaps the police also gave a warning because they surely did not give information on how to do the activity, right. Maybe there was a stir there, ”Yani added.
Yani emphasized that the flower planting program was going well. The interception did not occur during the event.

“But when it is good to plant flowers, not at all. Because when they come to plant flowers, they are desperate. Right now the retired retirees have a high emotional condition. But fortunately Pak Gatot calms them down, cools them down,” he said.
“Because yesterday Mr. Gatot was persecuted in Surabaya, East Java. Mr. Gatot, who calmed them down,” can’t, he too is part of us, our family too, our younger siblings “as well,” Yani continued.
It was previously reported that the flower planting event that Gatot Nurmantyo attended at TMP Kalibata in South Jakarta this afternoon was tinged with shock. The riots began when a mass group on behalf of the students came to the Kalibata TMP, rejecting the Gatot Nurmantyo cs flower-planting action, which was called an action to commemorate the G30S / PKI rebellion.
The masses that rejected the action were pursued by a group of retired soldiers. The Angkot glass also appeared to break due to this riot.
The chaos at TMP Kalibata went viral on social media. At that time, there was also Gatot Nurmantyo with a red beret on the spot.
Police appeared to intervene in the rowdy crowd. As the crowd was dispersed in riots, officers at the scene were also seen talking to Gatot Nurmantyo.
“There were no clashes. To avoid clashes, the joint security forces of TNI and Polri disbanded the group that arrived and the retired officers who had carried out the flower planting returned to their respective residences,” said the chief of police of South Jakarta, Kombes Budi Sartono.
