Wakasad died due to illness and has not been confirmed as Covid-19
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The sad news came from the Indonesian Army. Army Deputy Chief of Staff (Wakasad), Lieutenant General Herman Asaribab, died this afternoon after being treated at the Gatot Subroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) in central Jakarta.
“Yes, that’s right, just an hour ago he died at 1:40 p.m. WIB at the Army Hospital,” said the Chief of the Indonesian Army Information Service, Brigadier General Nefra Firdaus, when confirmed by reporters, on Monday (14 / 12).
Nefra did not respond when Herman was treated at the Gatot Subroto Military Hospital. He only explained that the former commander of the XVII Military Region / Cenderawasih died of illness and it has not been confirmed if he had Covid-19 or not.
“So yes he is sick. Now he is buried in the Army Hospital. The plan will be buried, flown to Jayapura, in the TMP (Hero’s Tomb Park),” he explained.
