The vote count for the 2020 presidential election is still ongoing. In the state of Georgia, incumbent Donald Trump temporarily surpassed his rival, Joe Biden.
As reported New York Times, On Wednesday (11/4/2020), Trump narrowly beat Biden by winning 2,381,870 votes or reaching 50.5 percent. Meanwhile, Biden received 2,279,736 votes, or 48.3 percent of the votes. These data are calculated based on the vote count that has reached 92 percent.
Trump’s victory in Georgia will provide an additional 16 electoral votes for Trump. It takes 270 electoral votes, out of a total of 538 electoral votes, to win the US presidential election.
Early in his White House speech, Trump claimed that he won in many major states, including Georgia.
Trump also said that he had won in states that the Republic had not previously won.
Trump also cited his temporary leadership in states like North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, which he said rival Joe Biden could no longer catch.
