Based on the results of the mid-term exam, Dodik said, the vehicle with registration was loaned to Colonel CPM (Purn) Bagus Heru Sucahyo from 2017 to present at the request of the interested party.

“For the retired Military Police, they are still given permission to borrow and use registration numbers to be used within a certain time and capacity limit, but they cannot be used by unauthorized persons,” he said.

It was previously reported that a civilian of Chinese descent was seen using an official car with a TNI AD license plate shopping for food on the side of Jalan Gajah Mada, Tamansari, in West Jakarta. The appearance of an ordinary citizen driving a TNI car had caused a scandal among local residents.

In the amateur video recorded by residents, an anonymous person can be seen exiting the official TNI car parked on the side of the road. The man who is quite old got out of the car dressed in a white T-shirt and shorts, then entered a noodle restaurant.

Local residents who saw the incident immediately recorded a video and asked the driver of the car.

“Sir, whose car?” asked the resident who recorded.

“My car,” said the man who was ordering food.

“Are they soldiers? Seriously, active members,” asked the local resident.

“Why are you asking me? The ones who may ask me are the military police,” said the man who was driving the car as he walked to the official TNI car.
