“National regulations. It has been implemented since last year at TSQ Pontianak,” said the male voice.

The 37th MTQ North Sumatra CEO Palid Muda Harahap said the disqualified participants were Labuhanbatu Regency participants. Palid explained that the incident was a misunderstanding.

“Unveiling in anticipation of cheating is implemented at the national level. However, in North Sumatra, we have made adjustments to the provisions before we appear. We will review it first. The incident at that time was purely a misunderstanding because at that time at the moment the board of judges on duty was coming from the center, “said Palid. in a written statement.

Palid explained that his party had coordinated with the panel of judges on this matter. It is said that participants who had been disqualified can reappear if they wish.

“In the days that followed, many also appeared in veils. Alhamdulillah, there was no problem. This incident of miscommunication is a common lesson for all of us,” he said.

Palid explained that the policy of removing the veil was to watch the movements of the participants’ lips as they read the Quran. This is in anticipation of fraud on the MTQ.

“However, the actual performance does not need to look at the movement of the lips. So in North Sumatra there are adjustments and there is no prohibition of wearing the veil to present with a prior examination,” he explained.
