Denpasar –
A video of a Jalan Raya Patrol (PJR) car escorting 3 men who were jogging in Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai, Denpasar, went viral on social media (medsos). One of the men in the video looks like Richard Muljadi.
The video shows a PJR car in front and it is followed by 3 people who are jogging. Behind the 3 men who were jogging, a white car was seen accompanying them.
Bali Regional Police Chief of Public Relations Kombes Syamsi said that currently the officers conducting the escort have been questioned by the Bali Propam Police. According to him, the officer allegedly violated the established SOP.
“So now the Polda Propam has checked,” Kombes Syamsi said on Friday (10/16/2020).
“Yes, the guards are now being examined, so the number is not safe because they just summoned me this afternoon. Because it was only today, so I did not agree with the procedure, so Propam carried out an inspection,” he added.
He said the guards still did not know the type of violation because they were still under investigation. Syamsi also said he did not know who was escorted by PJR’s car.
“That is still under review, so the name is escort, there are requirements that must be met in the escort, so it is considered that it does not agree with the guard’s SOP, right (allegedly) violating the SOP,” said Syamsi .
However, Syamsi admitted that he knew nothing of the men who were escorted by PJR.
“I don’t know who was being guarded, but what is clear is that we are only investigating the errors of the members who violated the SOP in the escort. So who is not being guarded,” he added.
It is known that Richard Muljadi was found guilty of using cocaine and sentenced to 1.5 years in prison. The judge rendered the verdict on February 28, 2019 by the South Jakarta District Court.
Richard Muljadi was previously charged with 1 year in prison for consuming cocaine in the restrooms of the Vong restaurant, SCBD, in South Jakarta on August 22, 2018.
The General Directorate of Corrections did not respond when asked for confirmation of Richard Muljadi’s current sentence.
