BOLASPORT.COM – Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles’s casual penalty-kick took the manager very concerned.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles became one of Arsenal’s six enforcers during a penalty shoot-out against Liverpool in the Premier League Cup round of 16 on Thursday (10/01/2020).
What caught the eye was the way the 23-year-old kicked the ball from the spot.
He jogged before firing a shot casually into the corner of the net.
Gunners coach Mikel Arteta admitted that he was very concerned that Maitland-Niles’ shot would not result in a goal because he looked too relaxed.

“I spoke to him (Maitland-Niles) in the locker room. I almost had a heart attack from the movement of his body,” Arteta told BolaSport.com from the Daily Mail.
Arsenal also ended the penalty shoot-out with a 5-4 victory.
Of the six London Cannon executioners, only Mohamed Elneny failed to contribute to the scoreboard through the white point.
The two Liverpool executors who did not contribute points were Divock Origi and Harry Wilson.
