Victory 2-1, the Lilywhites approach Liverpool

Gareth Bale’s goal ensured Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion. Tottenham are now in second place to Liverpool in first position.

Tottenham take on Brighton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the seventh Premier League match, early Monday morning (11/2/2020) W Indonesian time. The hosts closed the first half with a 1-0 lead thanks to a penalty from Harry Kane in the 13th minute.

In the second half, Brighton drew 1-1 with a goal from Tariq Lamptey in the 56th minute. Tottenham secured victory in this match thanks to a goal by Gareth Bale in the 73rd minute.

The course of the match

Tottenham took the initiative to attack early in the match. The threat they gave when the game was only six minutes long.

Sergio Reguilón stabbed from the left side before launching a strong shot at the near post. However, this attempt was denied by Robert Sánchez.

In the 13th minute, Harry Kane appeared to be run over by Adam Lallana right on the line of the penalty area. Referee Graham Scott initially gave a free kick.

His decision was later changed after reviewing the Video Assistant Referee (VAR). He gave Los Lilywhites a penalty.

Goal!!! Kane, who took the penalty, released a week to the left of Brighton’s goal, which outwitted Sánchez. Tottenham winning 1-0.
