Quartaro was diverted so that his position would slide to 20 (P20).

Rossi keeps crawling. This time, he “took advantage” of the fall of Johann Zarco (Reale Avintia) in the sixth lap to improve his position to 12th.

However, Rossi was unable to maintain his position. He was overtaken by two drivers at the same time, Francesco Bagnaia (Pramac Racing) and Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda).

After returning to P14, Rossi was involved in a fight with Crutchlow on lap 15 for P13.

Rossi could only overtake the Great Britain driver on lap 17.

Going into lap 20, Rossi climbed to P12, helped by the crash of Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda) at Turn 14 of the Ricardo Tormo circuit.

P12 eventually became Rossi’s last position in the 2020 Valencia MotoGP race.

Meanwhile, the winner of this season’s Valencia MotoGP race is Franco Morbidelli.

Petronas Yamaha SRT rider edged out Jack Miller (Pramac Racing) and Pol Espargaró (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) in P2 and P3.

As for the 2020 MotoGP leaderboard, Joan Mir (Suzuku Ecstar), “only” finished seventh.

However, that result was enough for him to secure the 2020 MotoGP world title.

Mir after the Valencia race accumulated 171 points. He is 29 points ahead of Morbidelli in second place.

With one balapa remaining, there are only 25 maximum points up for grabs, so Mir is no longer beaten.
