ATLANTA, KOMPAS.com – Brad Raffensperger, as Georgia Secretary of State and top US presidential election official, commented on President Donald Trump’s insistence on soliciting additional votes.
He said Trump’s path was completely wrong and he only listened when the 45th president of the United States said a lot.
“He talks more. We listen,” Raffensperger said. ABC News, Monday (1/4/2021).

Republican Party insisted he wants to beat Georgia in the US elections to win both state Senate seats in the second round of elections.
If the Republicans win, they can retain control of the upper house, but if they lose they have to let the Senate, the DPR and the White House fall to the Democrats.
Trump and his team spoke with Raffensperger on Saturday (2/1/2021) by phone and the images were released. Washington Post the next day.
On Monday (4/1/2021) Raffensperger said he did not know the conversation was being recorded and said he spoke to the president from his home.

“He (Trump) said there were hundreds more people who died who voted. We found two, that’s an example of how the data was wrong,” said Raffensperger, who responded to Trump.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Sterling, who administers the voting system for the US presidential election in Georgia, said it was very easy to prove Trump’s claims wrong.
What did Trump say on the phone?
“I’m only asking for 11,780 votes,” Trump asked fellow Republican Brad Raffensperger.
Trump called for that number to get a total of 2,473,634 votes in Georgia, to exceed Biden’s 2,473,633 votes.
Raffensperger then responded to Trump’s request saying that the results of the US elections in Georgia were correct.
Trump was heard to continue to pressure and persuade the Georgia Secretary of State to vote.
“And there’s nothing wrong with saying, you know, umm … your (votes) are counted. You lose hundreds of thousands of votes,” the 45th president continued.
Raffensperger then replied, “Mr. President, your problem is that your data is incorrect.”

Before hanging up, Trump threatened Raffensperger with legal action if he didn’t agree to his request.
“You know what they did and you didn’t report it. That’s a crime. Don’t let it happen. It’s a huge risk for you and Ryan, your lawyer,” Trump threatened.
Additionally, Melania’s husband tried to persuade Raffensperger to verify the results of the 2020 US presidential election in Georgia.
Raffensperger responded emphatically: “We have to stick to our numbers, we think our numbers are correct.”
