JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Covid-19 transmission continues until Saturday (9/19/2020). In the last 24 hours, the government registered 4,168 additional new cases of Covid-19.

This figure is the highest increase since President Joko Widodo announced the first case of Covid-19 on March 2, 2020.

Therefore, the total number of patients with Covid-19 currently reaches 240,687 people.

The addition of new cases of Covid-19 occurred in 34 provinces. DKI Jakarta recorded the largest increase with 988 cases.

Then West Java with 470 cases, East Java with 379 cases, Riau with 303 cases and Central Java with 271 cases.

Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 patients who have been declared cured has risen by 3,576, so that now the total number of recovered patients stands at 174,350.

Then the number of death cases from Covid-19 increased by 112, so Covid-19 patients died out of 9,448 people.

To date, the government has examined 2,885,895 specimens from 1,698,202 people.

This means that a person can have the sample examined more than once.

The examination of the sample was carried out using the method real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and rapid molecular test (TCM).
