Indicator

For the record, Indonesia’s Covid-19 Task Force divides the risk map into five categories.

The five categories are high risk (red zone), medium risk (orange zone), low risk (yellow zone), no cases (green zone), and unaffected (green zone).

There are several indicators that are used to calculate the status of the Covid-19 risk zone in Indonesia, namely: epidemiology, public health surveillance, and health services.

Public health surveillance indicators

  • The number of diagnostic specimens examined increased in the past 2 weeks.
  • Positivity rate low (target of less than 5 percent positive sample of all people tested)

Health service indicators

  • The number of beds in the referral hospital’s isolation ward can house up to less than 20 percent of the number of hospitalized Covid-19 positive patients.
