JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The increasing number of Covid-19 cases shows that the transmission of the corona virus is still occurring and the government cannot fully control it.
According to government data, even the number of Covid-19 patients that increase in one day is still high, above 4,000 people.
Judging by the data as of Tuesday (6/10/2020) at 12.00 WIB, there were 4,056 additional new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
This addition has resulted in the total number of Covid-29 cases in Indonesia now totaling 311,176 people, as of the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020.

This information was revealed by the Covid-19 Management Working Group in data sent to journalists on Tuesday afternoon.

The patient recovered and died
Although the number of cases continues to rise, the government shows hope with the growing number of Covid-19 patients recovering.
In one day, there were an additional 3,844 Covid-19 patients who recovered and were deemed no longer infected with the corona virus.
They were declared cured after the examination with the method Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) shows negative results for the corona virus.
Thus, the total number of recovered Covid-19 patients has reached 236,437 people.

However, there is still sad news with the addition of patients who have died after testing positive for the corona virus.
In the period from October 5-6, 2020, 121 additional Covid-19 patients died.
Therefore, the death rate due to Covid-19 in Indonesia has now reached 11,374 people.
Changes in the data have brought the number of active cases related to the transmission of the corona virus to now 63,365 people.
In addition to the active cases, the government also revealed that there are 140,305 people currently suspected.

Sample data
A total of 4,056 new cases of Covid-19 were known after the government examined 36,342 samples in 24 hours.
During that time period, 26,153 people were sampled for sample examination.
In total, the government has examined 3,551,507 specimens from 2,145,508 people sampled.
With registration, a person can submit to the examination of the sample more than once.

Covid-19 cases have been recorded in all provinces of Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua.
In more detail, there are 498 districts / cities in 34 provinces that have been affected by the transmission of the corona virus.
This means that the Covid-19 pandemic has affected 96 percent of the territory of Indonesia.
There are still 16 districts / cities that have not registered any cases of Covid-19.
