JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government through the Covid-19 Management Working Group reports that new cases of Covid-19 are still growing until Wednesday (10/21/2020).
According to government data on Wednesday at 12.00 WIB, there were 4,267 additional new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The addition has caused Covid-19 cases in the country to now reach 373,109 people, as of the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020.

The Covid-19 Task Force disclosed this information through data sent to journalists on Wednesday afternoon.
Additionally, the data can also be accessed through the Covid19.go.id and Kemkes.go.id sites with to update every afternoon.
The patient recovered and died
The government raises hope by showing data on patients recovering from Covid-19, which continues to grow.
According to the same data, there are 3,856 additional Covid-19 patients who have recovered and are no longer infected with the corona virus.
They were declared cured after the examination with the method Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) shows negative results for the corona virus.
Therefore, the total number of Covd-19 patients who recovered now stands at 297,509 people.

So there is still sad news with the increasing number of patients who have died after being infected with the corona virus.
In the past 24 hours, 123 Covid-19 patients were reported to have died.
Hence, the Covid-19 death rate in Indonesia reached 12,857 people.
With this data, it is known that active cases of Covid-19 have already reached 62,743 people. They are still in the hospital or in independent isolation.
Apart from the positive cases, the government stated that there are currently 162,216 people with suspect status.

Sample data
Collectively, the government has examined 4,167,210 Covid-19 specimens from 2,613,682 people sampled.
For the record, a person can have a sample test more than once.
Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, the government was found to have examined 43,586 specimens.
During that period, 30,597 individuals were sampled for sample examination.

Covid-19 cases have been recorded in all provinces of Indonesia. This shows that the case is not only increasing, but also expanding.
In more detail, there are 501 districts / cities of 34 provinces affected by the corona virus infection.
This means that more than 97 percent of Indonesia’s territory has been affected by the pandemic.
