UPDATE: Increase of 3,356 Covid-19 cases in Indonesia now 421,731 pages in total

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government said that the transmission of the corona virus still occurs in the community after the pandemic has been running for more than eight months.

This has caused the number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia to continue to increase today, Wednesday (11/4/2020).

According to data from the Covid-19 Management Working Group on Wednesday at 12.00 WIB, there were 3,356 additional new Covid cases in the last 24 hours.

Thus, the number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia has reached 421,731 people, as of the announcement of the first patient on March 2, 2020.

This information was relayed by the Covid-19 Working Group in data received by journalists on Wednesday afternoon.

The patient recovered and died

Although Covid-19 cases continue to grow, hope grows with more and more recovering patients.

In one day, there were 3,785 additional Covid-19 patients who recovered after they were deemed no longer infected with the corona virus.

They were declared cured according to the examination method Polymerase chain reaction showing negative results for corona virus.

The addition has brought the total number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered to date to 353,282 people.

However, there is still sad news with the increasing number of Covid-19 patients who have died.

In the period of November 3-4, 2020, 113 patients with Covid-19 died.

Therefore, the death rate due to Covid-19 has reached 14,259 people since the beginning of the pandemic.

With this data, there are currently 54,190 active cases of Covid-19.

Apart from the positive cases, the government has also shown that the number of suspects is currently 56,967.

A total of 3,356 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered after the government examined 40,979 specimens per day.

During the same period, 28,105 people were sampled to examine the samples.

So far, the government has examined 4,638,515 specimens against 2,969,883 people.

With registration, a person can undergo a sample examination more than once.

Covid-19 cases have been recorded in all provinces of Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua.

In detail, there are already 502 districts / cities of 34 provinces that have been affected by the transmission of the coronavirus.

This means that more than 97 percent of the territory of Indonesia was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic by registering cases.
