JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government has adopted various ways to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. However, after seven months, there are no signs that the transmission of the corona virus has decreased.
Government data shows that the transmission of the virus scientifically named SARS-CoV-2 continues, which can be seen in the growing number of Covid-19 cases.
The Covid-19 Management Working Group showed that based on data from Wednesday at 12.00 WIB, there were 4,538 new cases in the last 24 hours.
This addition has resulted in the total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia now rising to 315,714, as of the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020.

This information was transmitted by the Covid-19 Working Group through data received by journalists on Wednesday afternoon.

The patient recovered and died
Even as Covid-19 cases continue to grow, the government is trying to generate hope by showing that more and more patients are recovering.
There were an additional 3,854 Covid-19 patients who were declared cured in one day.
They are considered cured according to the examination by methods. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) showing negative results for the corona virus.
Therefore, there are currently 240,291 Covid-19 patients who have recovered and are considered to be no longer infected with the corona virus.

However, there is still sad news with the increasing number of Covid-19 patients who have died.
In the period from October 6 to 7, 2020, 98 patients with Covid-19 died.
As a result, the death toll from Covid-19 in Indonesia is now 11,472 people.

Looking at these data, the number of active Covid-19 cases in the country now stands at 63,951 people.
Aside from the active cases, the government has also revealed that 142,213 people are currently suspicious.

Sample data
The government obtained a total of 4,538 new cases of Covid-19 after examining 44,212 samples a day.
During that period, 32,167 individuals were sampled for sample examination.
To date, the government has examined 3,595,719 specimens from 2,177,675 people whose samples were taken.
For the record, a person can undergo a sample examination more than once.

Currently, Covid-19 cases have been recorded in Indonesia in all provinces, from Aceh to Papua.
In detail, there are 498 districts / cities of 34 provinces that registered cases of Covid-19.
This means that more than 96 percent of areas in Indonesia have been affected by the transmission of the corona virus.
