Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi confirmed to continue to wear captain’s armband for 2020-2021 season
BOLASPORT.COM – Barcelona’s decision to implement a pay cut policy was rejected by Lionel Messi and most of the top players. However, not everyone refused because these three players agreed to this move.
Earlier this month, Barcelona adopted a policy to cut the salaries of top team players by 30 percent.
This follows the huge losses suffered by Barça last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic or the corona virus.
The crown outbreak has affected the finances of many clubs around the world.
This was apparently opposed by Lionel Messi cs by sending a bureau that rejected the plan.

However, it turned out that there were 3 Barça players who agreed with this policy and chose not to follow in the footsteps of Lionel Messi and his other teammates.
As quoted by Sportskeeda’s BolaSport.com, the three players are Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Clement Lenglet and Frenkie de Jong.
The three players reportedly did not sign the burofax that was sent to the Barça board of directors.
Barça’s financial crisis is accused of being the main cause that the Catalan club has not incorporated its main target players into the 2020 summer transfer market.
