Police are still investigating the case of the shooting of the car carrying the head of a textile factory I (72) in Solo City, Central Java. The motive behind the cowboy’s action turns out to be business related.

“While the motive is a business relationship, we are still exploring, the investigation is continuing,” Solo Police Chief Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak said when meeting with reporters in Loji Gandrung, Solo City, on Thursday (12 / 03/2020).

Ade explained that the perpetrator with the initials LJ (72) was the brother-in-law of the victim. What kind of relationship between the two led to the shooting has not yet been revealed in detail.

“The suspect’s wife is the victim’s sister,” Ade said.

As previously reported, the shooting took place in Jalan Monginsidi, Banjarsari, Solo City, on Wednesday (12/2) around 12.00 WIB. Initially, Victim I and her driver were leaving the house for lunch.

But on the way, the car stopped the perpetrator and his wife. The perpetrator and his wife got into the victim’s car and asked to be taken to the Swallow’s Nest house in Jalan Monginsidi, Solo City. The swallow’s nest house belongs to the perpetrator.

After arriving at the scene, the perpetrator got out of the car. The assailant had asked the victim to come down. But the victim refused.

“The driver saw bad signs from the perpetrator LJ. The perpetrator had a firearm tucked in his front pants. The driver immediately turned around,” Ade said.

The victim then left the scene while the perpetrator continued to shoot at the victim’s car. Then, the victim made sure by entering the C Pelopor Mobile Brigade Command Headquarters, which was not far from the swallows’ nest.

“Because the perpetrators were carrying firearms, the Police, backed by Brimob, pursued the perpetrators. At 2:25 pm WIB, the perpetrators were caught at one of the bus stations in Karanganyar,” he said.
