jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The commander of the TNI AD Military Police Center, Lt. Gen. Dodik Widjanarko, issued an official statement after two TNI soldiers were attacked by a large group of motorcyclists (moge) in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, the Friday (10/30).

Based on the written statement received by JPNN, Dodik explained the beginning of the incident.

Initially, two members of the Kodim 0304 / Agam intelligence who were not wearing official clothing because they were on duty, namely Serda M Yusuf and Serda Mistari, crossed Jalan Dr Hamka, Bukittinggi city on a motorcycle.

Then at the same time, the HOG moge club cycling group members who were separated from the main group were in a rush to catch up with the main group.

“Serda M Yusuf and Serda Mistari who were on the same path and in the same direction received a bad impression from the group because they played gas outside the normal limits when they passed them,” Dodik said in his statement, on Saturday (10/31) .

Due to the actions of the moge group, Serda M Yusuf and Serda Mistari who were going side by side off the road.

Seeing this, Dodik said, the two TNI AD members chased after the moge group and stopped them by cutting off one of the group’s participants at the Tarok junction in the city of Bukittinggi.

“Then there was a fight that continued with the occurrence of misunderstandings that eventually led to mutual beatings or assaults of the two Indonesian army soldiers,” Dodik explained.
