jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Political observer Adi Prayitno believes that there are two things that make the government uncomfortable with the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) and its Grand Imam Habib Rizieq Shihab (HRS).

First, the political narrative put forth by the folks at the FPI, including HRS, has been verbally aggressive.

“For example, mentioning the term NKRI Bersyariah would certainly make the government uncomfortable,” Adi told jpnn.com on Thursday (12/10).

Other frequently used terms also make the government uncomfortable, including thogut and kafir.

“I think those two terms are pretty bad in terms of Islamic politics,” said Islamic State University professor Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta.

The Indonesian Executive Director of Political Parameters then mentioned the second thing that could make the government uncomfortable with the FPI, that is, in terms of mass mobilization.

“In terms of mass movements, whether we like it or not, the FPI is capable of mobilizing street politics. The 212 meetings were the mobilizing actors of FPI sympathizers and figures known as close to the FPI. So these two things seem to worry the government, “he said. .

According to Adi, the street movements promoted by supporters and figures close to the FPI and Habib Rizieq are not ordinary movements.
