Turkish military exports to Azerbaijan increase 610% this year

ANKARA – Military exports Turkey what Azerbaijan increased by a staggering 610% in 2020. The latest data came out amid defeat Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Data released by the Turkish Exporters Union showed that Ankara’s military exports to its ally Azerbaijan were worth nearly $ 256 million in the first 11 months of this year.

The number shows an increase in military cooperation between the two countries.

The cooperation has intensified as a new conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia since September, which led to the defeat of Armenia last month, ended the three-decade occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh. (Read also: Joint Turkish and Russian center in Karabakh to operate soon)
