Trump to visit the city where Jacob Blake was shot 7 in the back

KENOSHA, KOMPAS.com – The president of the United States, Donald Trump, is said to be visiting Kenosha, the city of Wisconsin where Jacob Blake was shot up to seven times in the back.

Blake, a black man, suffered paralysis in his lower body after the shooting that occurred last Sunday (8/23/2020).

Jacob Blake’s father said his son was under anesthesia during his hospitalization. However, at this point he was conscious.

Trump told reporters while visiting areas affected by Hurricane Laura in Louisiana and Texas that he said he may be visiting Kenosha.

The White House later confirmed that the president would visit the city of Wisconsin next Tuesday (1/9/2020).

Reported Sky News On Saturday (8/29/2020), he will later meet with local law enforcement and discuss the extent of the damage Kenosha suffered.

Since Blake was shot seven times in the back, the mob has held demonstrations every night, leading to riots in which buildings and vehicles have burned.

On Tuesday (8/25/2020), two protesters were shot and killed after a teenager opened fire on the crowd with semi-automatic rifles.

Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, of Antioch, Illinois, was later arrested and charged with first degree murder and a host of other charges.

Wisconsin then declared a state of emergency, in which more than 1,000 members of the National Guard were deployed to restore the situation.

Meanwhile, on the sixth night, Kenosha protesters chanted Black Lives Matter and “There is no justice, there is no peace.”

During the action, Jacob Blake Senior said that he wanted a change in the system, because the police are currently so brutal with so obvious racial injustice.

“There were seven bullets in my son’s back. So yes, he was angry. What made the police feel like they had a right to kill my son?” he asked annoyed.

“What gives them the right to see my son as an animal? What gives them the right to take what is not theirs? I’m fed up,” he said.
