Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President of the United States (USA) Donald Trump has returned from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center who treated him for contracting the crown. He left the military hospital on Monday (10/5/2020) afternoon local time, or around Tuesday (10/6/2020) morning Indonesian time.
Arriving at the White House, Trump even made a scene. Although there was no confirmation from the doctor that it was negative, when he entered his official residence, he removed his mask and paid his respects.
He even gave the photographer the go-ahead. As if it shows itself well.
Still, some outlets have questioned Trump’s health. Is the former real estate entrepreneur really okay?
Because in the raw, unedited video when he returns to the White House and takes off his mask, Trump looks out of breath. For a moment he saw her mouth open and furrow, as if taking a quick breath.
This is not shown in the video posted on his personal Twitter @realDonaldTrump. “It seems like Trump is out of breath,” said Twitter user Neal Brennan. Global News, Wednesday (7/10/2020).
Some health experts believe it too. Among them Dr. Ilan Schwartz, an infectious disease expert and researcher at the University of Alberta.
“This is (like) a textbook example of increased breathing at work,” he was quoted as saying on the same page.
“In addition to using the normal respiratory muscles (the diaphragm and between the ribs that expand the chest cavity), the accessory neck muscles are also working to help you breathe.”
He also called pursed-lip breathing a “coping mechanism.” He says this is usually done by someone trying to keep the airway open.
Trump himself had been infected since last Thursday. He was then taken to a military hospital on Friday showing symptoms of fever and low oxygen levels.
They even gave him a steroid, dexamethasone. This drug is generally used in Covid-19 patients with severe and critical symptoms and is not effective for mild symptoms.
Quoted from CNBC InternationalPresidential Dr. Sean Conley said Trump’s condition continued to improve. However, it is not virus-free yet.
“The president remains (still infected) with the virus. The treatment will continue in the White House,” the doctor said, citing the US media.
He told reporters that the medical team is optimistic about Trump’s health, but remains cautious. “We are in unknown territory,” he said.
He said he would monitor Trump’s health for up to a week. Trump received remdesivir antiviral therapy for his treatment.
