Trump furious over presidential election results and Damprat’s top Republicans

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is known to be ‘outraged’ after learning that he was defeated by his Arizona rival Joe Biden, who he believes was his stronghold.

Quoted from New York TimesThis event occurred just before Trump publicly claimed his victory on Wednesday (11/4/2020) morning.

At the time, Fox News reported that Joe Biden surpassed him in the state of Arizona, a state historically the camp of Republican voters. It is known that he panicked and contacted Arizona Governor Doug Docey.

Docey calmly assured Trump that there were still some uncountable Republican voices. In a panic, Trump reportedly ignored any input from his campaign team.

At that statement, Trump was furious. He then sent his son-in-law and adviser, Jared Kushner, to contact the media mogul who owns Fox, Rupert Murdoch, and asked him to cancel the report even though it was rejected.

Another Trump adviser, Jason Miller, also attempted to reach Fox via Twitter. He also explained that Trump’s campaign team was training lawyers to file a lawsuit against Fox.

Not long ago, the Associated Press also released the results of the vote count in Arizona. The same with Fox, they published that Biden won the presidential elections in that state.

This incident suddenly changed Trump’s emotional rhythm. Previously, he was confident that he would win the US presidential election after Texas and Florida, the two main states that were key in the US presidential election, were successfully controlled.

Due to the incident in Arizona, Trump also called Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Florida Governor Ron deSantis to ask if there were other potential lost areas in the region.

In fact, Trump’s defeat in Arizona was predictable. Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel and former Trump campaign manager Brad Pascale once asked Trump to focus on campaigning in the border state with Mexico.

But Trump refused and decided to squander campaign funds on Wisconsin, Nevada and Michigan. Not only that, Trump also hinted at the Republican senator that he was also the 2008 US presidential candidate John McCain.

McCain himself is the son of Arizona and also a veteran of the Vietnam War. So Cindy McCain, wife of John McCain, turned to support Biden in taking control of the White House.

So far, the counting of votes for the US presidential election is still taking place. Quoted from AP On Thursday (11/5/2020) at 1:50 p.m. WIB, Biden was still nationally superior.

The former Barack Obama MP is leading with 264 electoral votes and needs six more votes to win. Meanwhile, Trump fell behind with 214 electoral votes.
