US President Donald Trump claims he won the 2020 US presidential election, although the final results have yet to be announced. Trump also said he would go to the Supreme Court to reject the vote count.
Trump also without any basis claiming fraud.
“This is a fraud against the American public. It is an embarrassment to our country,” Trump said in a reported White House speech. AFP, Wednesday (11/4/2020).
“We won this election,” he said, although the millions of votes had not yet been counted.
Trump also said that he had won in states that the Republic had not previously won.
Trump also cited his temporary wins in states like North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, which he said rival Joe Biden could no longer catch up.
“Millions and millions of people voted for us tonight. And a very sad group of people is trying to disenfranchise that group of people. And we are not going to support it,” he said.
The Republican presidential candidate, who according to preliminary results is still competing with Democrat Joe Biden, said he will go to court and “we want the vote counting to stop.”
He appears to intend to stop counting mail-in ballots that are legally acceptable for state boards of elections after Tuesday’s election, provided they are delivered on time.
