The provincial government of DKI Jakarta is implementing large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). People are still advised not to leave the house. However, if you have an urge to leave the house, you are required to wear a mask.
One must wear masks when using a motorized vehicle. The mask must be worn correctly, that is, covering the nose, mouth and chin.
Recently, private car drivers have been fined for lowering the mask to the chin. According to Polda Metro Jaya traffic director, Kombes Pol. Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, governor of DKI Jakarta Regulation no. 79 of 2020 requires that people who use motorized vehicles continue to wear masks correctly.
“Article 4 of Governor’s Regulation 79/2020, is the obligation to wear a mask that covers the nose, mouth and chin when using a motorized vehicle,” Sambodo told detikcom on Thursday (9/17/2020 ).
The following is an excerpt from the content of article 4, paragraph 1, of Pergub 79 of 2020:
“All people in DKI Jakarta province are obliged to carry out individual health protection, which includes:
to. wear a mask that covers your nose, mouth, and chin when:
1. be out of the house;
2. interact with other people whose health status is unknown; me
3. using a motorized vehicle “.
Even in private vehicles, drivers must wear a mask correctly. “It doesn’t say the rule is exempt from driving a motor vehicle alone,” Sambodo said.
Sanctions are regulated in Article 5 Pergub 79 of 2020. The following are the threat of sanctions for not wearing a mask as mentioned in Article 4, paragraph 1 of Pergub 79 of 2020:
(1) Any person who does not wear a mask as mentioned in Article 4 paragraph (1) letter a will be subject to a social work sanction for cleaning public facilities by wearing a vest for 60 (sixty) minutes or a fine administrative fee of not more than IDR 250,000 (two hundred and fifty thousand rupees).
(2) Any person who repeats the infraction by not wearing a mask as mentioned in paragraph (1), will be subject to social work sanctions or administrative fines with the following conditions:
to. Repeated offenses 1 (one) time subject to social work cleaning public facilities by wearing a vest for 120 (one hundred and eighty) minutes or an administrative fine of not more than IDR 500,000 (five hundred thousand rupees);
yes. 2 (two) repetitive offenses are subject to social work cleaning public facilities by wearing a vest for 180 (one hundred and eighty) minutes or an administrative fine of not more than IDR 750,000 (seven hundred fifty thousand rupees); and
C. offenses repeated 3 (three) times and subsequently subject to social work cleaning public facilities by wearing a vest for 240 (two hundred and forty) minutes or an administrative fine of not more than IDR 1,000,000 (one million rupees ).
