Jakarta –
The head of the DKI Jakarta (Kadinkes) Health Service Widyastuti said that the emergency brake policy should be implemented immediately. This was done to prevent the spread of the Corona virus (COVID-19) from becoming more and more massive.
According to him, the emergency braking policy cannot be implemented by Jakarta alone. However, so must other regions.
“It is true that an urgent emergency brake must be taken, the policy is not only in DKI, it must be in other provinces as well, so that the extraordinary movement of transmission can be stopped,” Widyastuti said in a virtual talk show broadcast on the YouTube Channel for Covid 19, this Wednesday. (9/9/2020).
Widyastuti said 30 percent of Corona’s positive cases in Jakarta were brought in by residents from other areas. Meanwhile, the other 70 percent comes exclusively from residents living in the capital city.
“The cases of DKI that are exclusively domiciled in DKI are 70 percent, 30 percent are distributed in Bodetabek and outside of Jabodetabek,” he said.
He said that various agencies that have allowed their employees to leave the city also have the potential to carry the Corona virus when they return to Jakarta. However, he said, he did not rule out that the people of Jakarta were also carriers of the Corona virus outside the region.
“I have heard and seen that there are several institutions at the central level that have done work tasks outside the province, returning to Jakarta is positive. So maybe someone from Jakarta took them out, those external assignments to Jakarta are also positive,” he said. .
According to data from the corona.jakarta.go.id site, the total death rate of people who died from Corona in Jakarta was 1,330 or 2.7 percent and a positive rate of 13.2 percent in one week. A total of 48,811 positive people in Jakarta and 36,451 have been declared cured.
