JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said: Large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in DKI will apply for two weeks.

According to Anies, during the two weeks, all activities and activities would be restricted.

This means that if it starts on September 14, it will end on September 27, 2020.

“So, in fact, the conditions in the last two weeks are worrying. This is different from the previous situation. That is why we plan to toughen up for the next two weeks,” Anies said at City Hall in a recording received on Friday (9/11 / 2020).

During those two weeks, Anies hoped the community would stay home and reduce outside activities to reduce the spread of Covid-19.

“By being home first, the hope is that this potential transmission can be suppressed,” he said.

However, after two weeks of strict PSBB implementation, Anies did not guarantee that the spread of Covid-19 in DKI would end.

But at least suppress and slow down the spread.

“But I also want to stress, do not expect that after two weeks, it will end. No, but if this incredible speed there is no step to stop, this will continue,” added Anies.

It is known that the PSBB will be implemented again from September 14, 2020.

Anies at the time said that this decision was made considering a number of factors, namely the availability of hospital beds that were almost full and the high mortality rate.

“At a meeting of the working group to accelerate the control of Covid-19 in Jakarta, it was concluded that we will pull the emergency brake, which means that we are forced to re-implement social restrictions on a large scale as in the first days of the pandemic, “Anies said on Wednesday (9/9/2020).

According to Anies, this decision also followed the rule of President Joko Widodo, calling for health to be prioritized.

With the implementation of this PSBB, it is certain that various activities, namely office activities, business, transportation, will again be restricted to public facilities.
