BPJS Kesehatan will perform data cleansing for problem participants. This process begins on November 1.

As a result of this policy, the accounts of BPJS Health participants may be temporarily frozen. So how can you prevent your BPJS Kesehatan account from being frozen?

Quoting CNBC Indonesia, the first step is to check the status of the NIK from the media to the face-to-face service channels at BPJS Kesehatan.

BPJS Kesehatan’s official statement states that this step is to increase the accuracy of the data so that they can provide the maximum health insurance services.

If it has been verified and the NIK status has changed from active to inactive with the statement ‘re-enrollment to complete administration to update data, please fill in KK / KTP data’, the next step is to re-register.

“In this re-registration process, the participants transmitted the renewal of the Dukcapil NIK through face-to-face and non-face-to-face services,” wrote the official BPJS Kesehatan statement, quoted on Friday (10/30/2020).

This temporary deactivation will not reduce the rights of participants to receive health insurance. For information, this temporary suspension decision was taken as a follow-up to the recommendation of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the results of the audit of the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) for the fiscal year 2018 and the results of the National Coordination Meeting of Echelon I Ministries / Institutions.

This means that participants who are not equipped with a Population Identification Number (NIK) in the segment of participants not receiving health insurance contribution assistance (PBI JK) will be frozen on November 1, 2020.

The non-PBI health insurance segment in question consists of the segment of participants and family members of workers who receive salaries from state officials such as ASN, TNI Polri, and retirees.
