JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Several manufacturers have begun to announce the sale price of their cars, after the government formalized instructions to implement the relaxation of the Tax on Sales of Luxury Goods (PPnBM).

We also tried to track the sale price of Honda cars in March 2021 to various dealers. It turns out that the listed price list is still the official price tag from early 2021 that has yet to receive tax incentives.

“Yes, it has not come out yet, it is still waiting for information from HPM,” said Hendra Kustiawan, director of the Honda Jakarta Center (PT Imora Motor), to Kompas.com (3/1/2021).

The 100 percent PPnBM incentive can be enjoyed as of March 1, 2021 and will be valid for three months.

Consumers who want to buy Honda brand cars, there are four models that receive this incentive. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 169 of 2021, Honda products include Brio RS, Mobilio, BR-V and HR-V in all their variants.

These four cars can be said to be eligible for PPnBM incentive recipients because they contain 70 percent local components.

This incentive can only be enjoyed by cars with a cubic engine of 1,500 cc or less, including the categories of sedans and vehicles with 4×2 traction.

As for Jazz, although it meets the criteria of the Ministry of Industry, it seems that the local content of its components has not met the minimum requirement of 70 percent.

Then Brio Satya received no incentives because he had received 0 percent PPnBM from the beginning. While the CR-V, although it has been produced Completely Knocked Down (CKD), it has not met the criteria of the Ministry of Industry.

Meanwhile, models like the City, Civic (Hatchback RS, Turbo and Type R), Accord and Odyssey are products imported from abroad as a whole.
