AS (22), a driver whose car was damaged and then tortured by hundreds of motorists in Makassar, South Sulawesi, has regained consciousness after being intensively treated at Bhayangkara Hospital, Makassar. When questioned by police, the United States admitted that he had become a mob target for pointing pistols at hundreds of motorists in Jalan Veteran, Makassar.

This incident started when the US was driving their Honda Brio in Jl Veteran, Makassar, around 04:00 WITA, on Friday (11/13). The condition began to turn unfavorable, the speed of American cars was blocked by hundreds of motorcycle gangs, prompting the United States to draw its pistol.
“He was blocked by a group of motorcycle gangs. So according to his confession, he just wanted to scare him,” Nurtjahyana said.
But the US strategy was totally wrong. Instead of backing down or giving access to America’s highways, the motorcycle gangs became even more violent.
“Some of these motorcycle gangs can see that it is not a real weapon (an American pistol is not a type of firearm), so they are more courageous and violent, while their car (American victim) has been thrown in the road, “explained Iptu Nurtjahyana.
The United States itself has tried to survive from Jalan Veteran all the way into Jl Sultan Alauddin, Makassar. Right at the end of Jl Sultan Alauddin, the United States stopped his car because at that moment he was right in front of the Rappocini Police Headquarters.
When they stopped, the United States and its car were attacked by the mob, causing injuries and damage. Fortunately, the US was successfully evacuated to Rappocini police.

Meanwhile, the perpetrators immediately dispersed and fled because the police had arrived. While the United States itself was not only seriously injured or in a crashed car, several of its valuables were allegedly stolen by the masses.
