Din Syamsuddin, former director of PP Muhammadiyah, is marrying today the grandson of the founder of the Islamic boarding school Gontor (Ponpes), Rashda Diana. This happy moment will take place in Ponpes Gontor, Ponorogo.
“Yes, please pray,” Din said when contacted on Sunday (3/1/2021).
The Dean of Social and Political Sciences of Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta (UMJ), Ma’mun Murad, also relayed information on the wedding day of the Declaration of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE). Ma’mun said the wedding would take place at 09:00 WIB.
“Professor Din Syamsuddin got married this morning, Sunday January 3, 2021, at 09:00 in Pesantren Gontor to Dr. Rashda Diana, Lc. MA., The grandson of the founder of Pesantren Gontor,” Ma’mun wrote on his Twitter account, seen by detikcom.
Rashda Diana is known to be the second daughter of the late KH Imam Subakir Ahmad, son of KH Ahmad Ridwan. KH Ahmad Ridwan is the founder of Ponpes Gontor.
