PRECISION JOURNAL – TNI’s decision to download posters and billboards for the leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) mass organization, Rizieq Shihab, in various places was appreciated by Indonesia Police Watch (IPW).
“IPW thanks TNI for taking down the Rizieq posters in various places. In addition, IPW supports TNI maneuvers in civilian areas in Petamburan or around the FPI headquarters run by Rizieq,” said IPW Presidium President Neta S Pane, in a written statement in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA.
For its part, Neta considered that the removal of posters and billboards should have been carried out by Satpol PP and Polri, because according to local regulations (perda) all installation of banners, posters and billboards must have a permit.

However, TNI took the initiative to participate in the removal of cartels and baleho. In this case, IPW thanks PANGDAM JAYA for ordering its members to participate in the lowering of posters and baleho representing Rizieq.
“The Kodam Jaya ranks are expected to immediately clean up all unauthorized Rizieq billboards and billboards,” Neta explained.
Furthermore, Nita considered that Rizieq Shihab used to make statements that could trigger the division of the Republic of Indonesia. Although Rizieq’s statement is just nonsense, it always reminds the masses of the FPI to be radical in nature so that what Rizieq said has the potential to trigger security unrest and divide the Republic of Indonesia.

Rizieq’s comments and threats became increasingly scandalous when Rizieq’s cartels and baleho were seen in various locations and without obtaining a permit. In this case, it appears that Rizieq and his group have not been touched by the law.
“Ironically, in this situation the police are simply silent. Rizieq’s maneuvers that they carried out on the crowd amid the Covid-19 pandemic were ignored by the police. As a result, Rizieq was able to maneuver freely,” Neta said.
