“There is no (order) to remove billboards at the Headquarters. That is the policy of the Jaya Regional Military Commander himself, because he sees the situation in the field,” Riyadh said when confirmed by phone on Sunday (11/22) / 2020).
When he further confirmed how TNI headquarters’ attitude responded to Pangdam Jaya’s policy, he was reluctant to comment further.
Earlier, Pangdam Jaya, Major General Dudung Abdurachman, acknowledged that the removal of Habib Rizieq billboards by a group of men in striped clothing was his order. According to Dudung, the removal was carried out because Satpol PP officials failed several times because the billboards were reinstalled after being removed.
“Okay, there’s a striped shirt down the billboard for Habib Rizieq, that’s my order,” Dudung said, after the disaster preparedness rally and simultaneous regional elections at Monas Cross Field, Central Jakarta, on Friday (20 / 11/2020) in the morning.
The two-star general explained that the striped men came from the garrison. Dudung said that Satpol PP often had trouble slowing down the banners. (Also read: About TNI Copoti Baliho Habib Rizieq, KSP denies Jokowi’s direct order)
“Because several times the Satpol PP has lowered it, raised it again. My orders are. Look, if there is someone in this Republic, whoever it is, this is a rule of law. They must obey the law,” said Dudung.
