TNI commander sends special forces to hunt down terrorists in Sigi

TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto will send special forces from the Indonesian National Army (TNI) to Poso, Central Sulawesi, to help Polri hunt down the perpetrators. sigi’s terror affiliated with the East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) led by Ali Karola.

Last week, MIT carried out a terrorist attack that killed four residents in Sigi, Central Sulawesi.

Hadi said that TNI will take firm action against the perpetrators of the terrorist action in Sigi that was carried out by the MIT led by Ali Kalora.

The special forces sent by Hadi will be assigned to Poso and will leave as soon as possible, tomorrow Tuesday (1/12).

“TNI will support the police. Tomorrow morning, the special forces will depart from Halim (Halim Perdanakusum airport) for Palu and will be assigned to Poso to strengthen the troops that already existed in Poso,” Hadi said during a press conference in the Kemenko Polhukam building, Jalan Medan. Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, Monday (11/30).

However, Hadi did not specify how many troops he would send to the operation. Hadi only explained a number of needs to support the arrest operation of the MIT group led by Ali Kalora, which had carried out acts of terrorism in Sigi, which had been gradually dispatched.

In fact, this operation will be carried out by Tinombala’s troops and has started operating since the terrorist act in Sigi that killed four people.

He also hopes that this operation will go smoothly so that the MIT group can be caught and prosecuted immediately according to the criminal conduct they have committed.

“So what is expected of all Indonesians is that the MIT group must be persecuted and until we can,” he said.
