PLN explains the chronology of the power outages that occurred in DKI Jakarta and surrounding areas. It all started with the explosion of the 500 kV load breaker located at the Extra High Voltage Substation (GITET) in Muara Tawar, Bekasi.

The chronology of the outages in and around Jakarta was broadcast by PLN through its official statement and also a press conference, on Sunday (11/1/2020). It all started with a PLN device that exploded at Muara Tawar.
The following is a complete timeline based on cutoff time in and around Jakarta:
– At 12.58 WIB
PLN explained, at 12.58 WIB, there was a 500 kV load breaker or circuit breaker disturbance at Muara Tawar that malfunctioned or exploded.
This disruption affects the supply of electricity from the Citaram address in West Central Java to parts of DKI Jakarta. Finally, PLN has decided to isolate the route that has suffered disturbances and carry out blackouts in 42 substations spread over DKI Jakarta, Depok and Bekasi.
“Then the system is isolated so that the healthy stay healthy.
