“We went down to the street today at the meeting point in the Permata roundabout, Rancaekek from 08.00. “Today we had a blockade and then we were intercepted by police officers. At first we wanted to try to go to the Cileunyi turnpike, but we were intercepted again,” Slamet said.
Meanwhile, Kapolresta Bandung Senior Commissioner Hendra Kurniawan said the flow transfer was meant to prevent workers from entering the Cileunyi toll road.
“We have given them the opportunity to get here (Cileunyi). At first they wanted to break into the highway, but they couldn’t,” he said.
In this security, the police deployed around 400 police officers consisting of 150 Brimob, 70 TNI members and 280 Bandung Police officers.
“We respect them as well and talk to them. However, due to Covid we also have to be careful,” Hendra said.
