Bandung –
Habib Bahar bin Smith is again a suspect in the case of mistreating a taxi driver online. The persecution was caused by Bahar’s wife.
“So he chased after the Grab driver, where his wife came home too late, escorted by Grab’s driver, now the exit was stolen,” said West Java Regional Police Public Relations chief Kombes Erdi A. Chaniago when contacted on Wednesday (10/28/2020).
Erdi said that the persecution incident occurred in 2018. The incident occurred at Bahar’s residence in the Tanah Sereal area, Bogor city.
When asked about the question of investigating Bahar after being named a suspect, Erdi said his party was coordinating with the prison and the prosecutor’s office. Because right now Bahar is still languishing in Gunung Sindur prison due to the torture case against two teenagers.
“This is being coordinated again with the prosecutor (regarding the questioning of Bahar),” he said.
Previously, Habib Bahar bin Smith was again caught in an alleged persecution case. He was named a suspect by the West Java Regional Police in the persecution case.
Information collected, the alleged case of persecution was reported by a person named Andriansyah in 2018 to the West Java Regional Police. Later, the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation raised the status of the accused Bahar to a suspect.
“Yes, the title result has been named as a suspect,” said West Java Regional Police Director General of Criminal Investigation Kombes CH Patoppoi when confirmed on Tuesday (10/27/2020).
