PEKANBARU, KOMPAS.com – The attempted rape was committed by a teenage girl with the initials JA (18) in the Tampan district, Pekanbaru city, Riau.

The woman he was about to rape was his aunt with the initials YS (29). The perpetrator had squeezed the breasts to hold the vital parts of the victim.

Handsome police chief Kompol Hotmartua Ambarita said the perpetrator was not prosecuted because the family agreed to make amends.

“The perpetrator of JA was handed over to the Tampan Police. However, after mediating with his family and the police, they agreed to make peace. Because the perpetrator is the nephew of the victim’s husband,” Ambarita told reporters on Saturday (10/17/2020).

In addition, he added, the perpetrator had also apologized to the victim and promised not to repeat the fact by making a letter of declaration and a letter of peace signed by both parties.

Ambarita said that the case of attempted rape was carried out by JA to his aunt on Friday (10/16/2020) around 07.00 WIB, at the victim’s house in the Tampan district, Pekanbaru city.

The victim has stayed at his uncles’ house.

Initially, the perpetrator saw his aunt lying on her side in front of the television (TV) in the living room. Meanwhile, the victim’s husband was not at home because he went to work.

At that moment, the position of the victim’s skirt rose and was seen by the perpetrator. The aggressor then commits an inappropriate act against the victim.

“The victim screamed while pushing the perpetrator. Then the perpetrator kicked the victim in the stomach and ran out of the house,” Ambarita said.

After the incident, he continued, the victim asked the local RT chief for help.

A short time later, residents secured the perpetrators and took them to the Tampan Police.

However, the family was unwilling to make a police report and agreed to make amends.
