Pontianak (ANTARA) – One of the victim’s families (husband), Yaman Zai, admitted that he lost his wife and three children in the Sriwijaya DJ-182 Jakarta-Pontianak plane crash, which reportedly lost contact around the 16.30 WIB on Saturday.
“I came to Pontianak Supadio Airport to pick up my wife and three children,” said Yaman Zai, between sobs in Sungai Raya.

He explained that his wife and son wanted to visit him in Pontianak, because they had worked here for a year.
“I contacted him for the last time by cell phone before the family got on the plane, which until now has not received any information,” he said sadly.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport confirmed that the Sriwijaya Air plane for the Jakarta-Pontianak route with flight number SJY 182 lost contact at 14:40 WIB.
“There has been a ‘lost contact’ from the Sriwijaya aircraft on the Jakarta – Pontianak route with a call sign SJY 182 ‘. The last contact was made at 2:40 p.m. WIB,” said the Director General of Air Transport of the Ministry of Transport Novie Riyanto to Antara in Jakarta.
Novie said that it is currently under investigation and that it is being coordinated with the National SAR Agency (Basarnas) and the National Committee for Transportation Safety (KNKT).

The aircraft with registration number PK CLC Boeing 737-500 lost contact at a position 11 nautical miles north of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang after passing an altitude of 11,000 feet and upon increasing altitude to 13,000 feet. .
