This is the role of the fifth suspect in the case of beating the TNI soldiers in Bukittinggi: the National Okezone

JAKARTA – The police have re-named a suspect named Teteng Rustandi alias Teteng, in connection with the alleged beating of two TNI soldiers in Bukittinggi. Currently, a total of five people have been named suspects.

Bukittinggi AKBP Police Chief Dody Prawiranegara revealed that suspect Teteng was the person who pushed one of the TNI soldiers to kneel when the incident occurred.

“The role of the suspect Teteng Rustandi, named Teteng, pushed the victim Muhammad Yusuf down,” Dody told Okezone, Jakarta, on Monday (11/2/2020).

According to Dody, this was confirmed after the testimony of eyewitnesses who were at the scene.

With this addition, now the number of suspects involved in beating TNI soldiers is five. They have been detained for investigation purposes.

“The total number of suspects is up to 5 people,” Dody said.

Previously, the police had pre-determined four people in this case. They are HS alias A and JAD alias D, BS (18) and MS (49).

Just to point out, the beating was carried out by a group of large motorcycle users on two people in Jalan Hamka in front of a Simpang Tarok clothing store, Tarok Dipo, Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra, on Friday afternoon, 30th of October 2020.

The victim turned out to be a member of Intel Kodim 0304 / Agam. They are Serda Mis and Serda MY working at Intel Kodim 0304 / Agam, West Sumatra.

As a result of the beating, Serda MIS suffered a broken upper lip, while Serda MY had bruises on the back of her head. Following the incident, the two TNI AD NCOs were immediately taken to the Army Hospital to receive treatment for the injuries they sustained.
