The provincial government of DKI (Pemprov) has revealed the reasons for the capacity adjustment of the offices in Jakarta by imposing a maximum capacity of 50% on the Christmas and New Year holidays. The DKI provincial government said this was because office activities during the holidays before Christmas and New Years tended to be small.
“Yes, we are actually entering the end of the year, actually at the end of this year the activities are actually small, but we are providing opportunities to the offices that have to complete tasks at the end of the year,” said DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor , Ahmad Riza Patria, to journalists in Balai. Ariza said that initially the vice chairman of the Committee for the Management of COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery, Luhut Pandjaitan, had asked the office workers in DKI Jakarta to toughen up by applying the law. Work from home (FMH) of 75% of the total employees in each office. However, after coordinating with the Central Task Force, the DKI provincial government decided to stick to the WFH’s 50 percent policy.
“Indeed, at the beginning Pak Luhut asked for 70 percent, but after coordinating again, we coordinated with the Central Working Group and Pak Luhut, the governor also coordinated, finally it was agreed with the central government that finally the WFH decided on the 50 percent, “Ariza said.
Contacted separately, Luhut spokesperson Jodi Mahardi explained that Luhut had listened to the considerations explained by DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. Luhut is also said to be able to understand that consideration.
