YAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government has renewed data on the spread of the corona virus and Covid-19 cases in Indonesia on Wednesday (05/13/2020).
The information was relayed by a government spokesperson for the management of the coronavirus Achmad Yurianto at a press conference in Graha BNPB on Wednesday afternoon.
Yuri said that, according to data collected by the government as of 12.00 WIB on Wednesday, there were 689 additional new cases of Covid-19.
“Therefore, there are a total of 15,438 positive cases of Covid-19 (in Indonesia) to date,” said Yuri.

According to the data he explained, new cases of Covid-19 positive patients spread across 26 provinces, including DKI Jakarta, South Sulawesi, East Java, and West Sumatra.
Meanwhile, there have been cases of Covid-19 transmission to 379 districts / cities in 34 provinces.
Referring to government data, the majority of total Covid-19 transmission cases were in DKI Jakarta with 5,554 cases.
Then followed by East Java (1,772 cases), West Java (1,556 cases), Central Java (1,023 cases) and South Sulawesi (803 cases).
Yuri continued, the government also noted that there were an additional 224 patients who had been declared cured of Covid-19.
“Thus, a total of 3,287 patients recovered,” Yuri said.

Yuri then declared the sad news with the addition of Covid-19 patients who died.
There were an additional 21 patients who died after testing positive for the coronavirus.
“So the number of patients has died at 1,028,” said Yuri.
