Ustadz Maulana Mohammed Zaid (36) was stabbed while giving a lecture to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad in Al-Husna, East Aceh. The perpetrator is MA (37).
In a circulating photo confirmed by Southeast Aceh Police Chief AKBP Wanito Eko Sulistiyo on Friday (10/30/2020), the perpetrator appeared to be wearing a blue jacket and jeans.
MA sits in a chair in a room. He was arrested by Southeast Aceh Police personnel on Thursday night (10/29) at 10:45 p.m. WIB or an hour after stabbing Ustaz Zaid.
“The perpetrator is a local resident,” Wanito said when confirmed. detikcom.
Wanito said the Supreme Court perpetrators have yet to confess their actions. He chose to remain silent when examined by investigators.
“So far, the perpetrator has not provided much information. Investigators are still conducting intensive investigations,” Wanito said.
