jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Presidium of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia Din Syamsuddin does not want to speculate in the political arena regarding the management structure of the Ulema Council of Indonesia (MUI) for the period 2020 to 2025.

Din admitted that from the beginning he no longer wanted to be in the leadership of MUI.

In the structure, Din does not serve as chairman of the MUI Consideration Board.

This position is now held by Ma’ruf Amin, who is currently also the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.

“From the beginning, I was not willing (to serve again at MUI), nor did I participate in the National Conference, although being the Chairman of the Advisory Council is also a way,” Din said in his short message to JPNN on Friday (11/27 ).

Din admits that he has been organizing at MUI for a long time.

Din then conveyed to the MUI Advisory Board plenary session that he no longer put his name on the management structure.

“I have been in MUI for a long time, I have been Secretary General, Vice President, General President and Chairman of the Advisory Council. In the last plenary session of the Advisory Council, I said that I was not willing,” Din explained.
