This is a list of 27 hotels in Jakarta where Covid-19 patients are isolated

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) has submitted to the government a list of 27 hotels that will be used as independent isolation sites for patients confirmed as positive for Covid-19 with the status of people without symptoms (OTG).

“We have ceded all twenty-seven hotels to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy,” said PHRI Secretary General Maulana Yusran at a press conference held by BNPB on Friday (9/18/2020).

Yusran said that currently the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) together with the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) through the Covid-19 Management Working Group are planning to conduct trainings for hotel managers.

The training aims to know the handling procedures of patients with Covid-19.

This was done despite the fact that the hotel already has experience in implementing health protocols.

“Of course, on the other side of the Working Group (Covid-19) it will work training how to handle if there are patients, “he said.

Of the total of 27 hotels, around 3,700 rooms are available as separate isolation rooms.

The 27 hotels, all members of the PHRI, have 3,700 rooms.

That number exceeds the government’s request that previously wanted about 3,000 rooms.

All hotels are scattered throughout all areas of DKI Jakarta, starting from North Jakarta, East Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta and Central Jakarta.
