JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Labor Minister (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said her party will continue to oversee the distribution of subsidized wages / salaries worth IDR 600,000 per month to 15.7 million workers.
The Ministry of Manpower also lists 5 provinces that receive the most subsidized wages / salaries.
DKI Jakarta province is said to be in the upper range with the majority of workers receiving wage / salary subsidies, i.e. 1,071,414 workers or around 19.48 percent. West Java (1,029,830 workers / 18.72 percent) ranked second to fifth.

This is followed by Central Java (702,531 workers / 12.77 percent), East Java (560,670 workers / 10.19 percent) and Banten (455,193 workers / 8.28 percent).
The following are the top 10 provinces with the highest number of candidates for stages I and II of wage subsidies:

2. West Java (1,029,830 or 18.72%)
3. Central Java (702,531 or 12.77 percent)
4. East Java (560,670 or 10.19 percent)
5. Banten (455,193 or 8.28 percent)
6. North Sumatra (242,368 or 4.41 percent)
7. East Kalimantan (166,026 or 3.02%)
8. Riau (152,850 or 2.78 percent)
9.Bali (133,197 or 2.42 percent)
10. Riau Islands (116,790 or 2.12 percent)
In the Ministry of Labor Regulation (Permenaker) Number 14 of 2020, it is established that the requirements for workers who can receive subsidized wages / salaries.
It includes Indonesian citizens who are wage earning workers, are registered as active participants of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, wages reported to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan below 5 million IDR and have active accounts.
Meanwhile, the number of wage / salary subsidies for phase I that have been successfully distributed to beneficiaries is 2,310,974 or 92.44 percent of the total 2.5 million beneficiaries.
